We had a cooking class yesterday. It was mostly just us prepping, and they cooked it all for us. Chalupas de pollo. Delicioso!

This is busy? I’ll take it.

Orientation and first day of classes. Not bad at all! After, I didn’t really want to just go sit back in my room, so I invited girls to the beach. We walked forever! Way nice. Exfoliating to the feet. Ate lunch at a little cantina, pretty Americanized, but still good.

I saw an iguana and pelicans, actually diving in and eating fish. That was sweet. The cold shower was actually nice tonight! It is indeed warm. Then, I watched “Life as We Know It” with Spanish subtitles. This is indeed helpful. Almost moreso than just watching it in Spanish. It is nice to have full Spanish TV options all the time. Super sleepy now! Bedtime soon.

So, I decided to end this evening with a nice cerveza de Costa Rica. What I learned? Not very good. Takes kinda like Olympia, but heavier. 

While doing so, I saw this strange animal on my wall. What is that, I wonder. A gecko! Neat! Wait, why does it look strange! OH MY GOD IT’S EATING A HUGE BUTTERFLY. Like the size of my hand. Chomp. Chomp. Chomp. Gone.

Then a bat. But whatever, bats are common enough I guess. Shower and then bedtime, I think. I’m pooped. Class tomorrow, good thing because I need friends.

This stuff is delicious. The only thing I’ve bought so far. Need to head to a convenience store or something so I can get something for dinner…. All I’ve had for the last 20 hours or so has been chocolate covered gummy bears, Chex Mix, and this stuff. Yeah!

Started packing tonight! Picked out all my clothes. Thought long and hard about my choices, and I think this will give me plenty of options without too many unnecessary things. Hopefully! (Still need to choose my shoes, though..)
